Music Release 2020

"As many of you know, in addition to my 26 years in the addiction counseling field, I spent 10 more years as a touring musician. Composing and recording music has long been a favorite pastime of mine. Over the last 20 years, I have been picking away in my home studio. I particularly enjoy multitrack recording and playing all the different instruments myself. It is both challenging and rewarding to put together songs in that manor. The COVID pandemic has kept me in my home for most of 2020. So, I had time to mix and produce two albums worth of music. Basically stuff I had been working on over the past decade. I prefer writing instrumental songs with one word titles. That way, one can receive an emotional response without the influence of lyrical content. The Guitar Collection album is jazzy and funky, while the Piano and Acoustic Guitar is sparse and calm. Pick a word, hit play, and follow where the music takes you." Tom Diffenderfer

I reached a decision to release these albums publicly on Amazon, itunes, Spotify, Google music, etc. 100% of the after-tax proceeds from sales of the music will be deposited into a newly formed patient assistance fund. I will then be able to use the funds to provide services to those that cannot otherwise afford it. Most of the patients I see in my private Substance Abuse counseling practice have the financial resources to pay for services. However, I do receive phone calls from individuals who want and need counseling but simply do not have the means. 72,000 Americans died of drug overdose in 2019 alone. If we can help a couple extra patients per month, that would be awesome."  Tom Diffenderfer

The first song of each album plays in its entirety. After that you can listen to samples of the rest of the songs. To purchase, simply click on the corresponding album cover. I hope you enjoy the music while also knowing that you are helping someone with a substance abuse problem get the therapy they need.
